What kind of home would be best for me? Meet Snickers, a gentle soul ready to bloom. Snickers is a sweet, shy little girl looking for a patient and loving forever home. She came to us through a breeder release and is still learning what it means to be a cherished family member. Though initially timid, Snickers is making steady progress and has begun to show her affectionate side to those she trusts.
Snickers thrives in a calm, supportive environment with people who understand that building trust takes time. She needs a home where patience and gentle encouragement are the norm. Once she feels safe, Snickers blossoms into a deeply loving and loyal companion. She must be the only dog in the home, as she hasn’t gotten along with other dogs in our care. This one-on-one attention will help her adjust more quickly and bond deeply with her new human.
Her size makes Snickers a great fit for many living situations—whether it’s an apartment, townhouse, or single-family home. Ideally, her adopter(s) will be home most of the day to offer companionship, structure, and reassurance as she gains confidence in her new life.
What is my personality like? Snickers is a young girl with very little life experience. She is reserved at first but incredibly expressive—her eyes say it all. She quietly seeks connection and, with time and trust, becomes very affectionate. She’s also highly food-motivated, which makes training a smoother process. With consistency and treats, she’ll pick up on basics like leash walking and simple commands such as “sit,” “stay,” and “come.”
Snickers would love to accompany you on small adventures—errands, trips to the park, or lounging at a dog-friendly café (especially if there’s a pup cup involved!). Each day, Snickers grows braver and more connected to the world around her. With the right home, she’ll flourish into the joyful, devoted companion she was always meant to be.
How do I act when I first meet new people? She will be reserved during initial meetings, but her eyes tell you everything—you can see she wants love and connection. With time and patience, she’ll reward her adopter(s) with a heart full of love.
Other tips and tidbits: Snickers' birthday is 12/13/2020!
House trained? Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule if a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained. A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule.
