Meet Snowy. Snowy was pulled from a horrendous hoarding situation as part of the Broward 60. Her previous home life was marked by neglect and deprivation. She and the other dogs faced a lack of proper nutrition that left them severely underweight and filled with intestinal parasites. Living with limited resources and attention, Snowy did not receive the care and nourishment she needed to thrive. Like so many of the other pups that came from this situation, though she has recovered physically while in our foster care, the extended period of hunger and neglect she endured in her original home has taken its toll on her mentally.
This sweet soul is making slow progress. Where she originally hid in her crate and only came out when she needed to potty, she has now graduated to living in a corner of her kennel. Her medical foster is able to muzzle her for transport into the ex-pen inside the house during the days where she quietly observes the household. She now makes eye contact with her medical foster and will even take food from her hand. She is even responsivev to her name.
But there's still so much fear in her. Now that Snowy is physically healthy, it's time for her to heal mentally. We're looking for a dedicated adopter that can help Snowy understand that there is more to life than fear. A calm home, a fenced yard, with a dedicated safe space for her. A gentle human that can help her graduate from existing in that small safe, area to a more regular existence. Someone that can help Snowy learn to be a dog. Snowy will attempt to snap if she is cornered. We are looking for someone who has experience with semiferal unsocialized pups. She will require another calm patient dog to be her mentor. And someone willing to give her space and know when she is ready to advance at her pace not yours. She is approx 1 year old and weighs 19 lbs. If you think you can help this sweet soul, please apply at https://www.ewenityfarmsbch.com
