Starfish was brought to the shelter as a stray with her friend Fisher. Starfish is a very sweet girl who is slightly oblivious to the world around her! We mean this in the best way as she is such a funny and goofy girl. Starfish has a free spirit and is oh so curious. She is an active girl who will thrive best with regular exercise and enrichment. We do not have any background information on Starfish; it is unknown if she has lived with other animals or children. Starfish is very friendly and loves attention. When she petted, she melts! Starfish has been friendly towards the other dogs and may do well with another friend. We can always provide a dog meet and greet prior to adopting if needed! Starfish does still have a lot to learn, but she is young, eager to please and treat motivated! Owners should be prepared to continue training. Starfish may not be completely potty trained but it can be difficult to tell in a shelter environment. We anticipate her doing much better when she has a more regular routine! Starfish does know the cue “sit” and overall, walks well on a leash. When going on walks she does great but does like to make sure you are still with her! She will stop and look behind her, when she sees that you are still there, she will very gently jump up on you. Starfish is seriously such a sweet girl who has so much potential.
