Stitch is a really special guy. He was a longer timer in Wake County Animal Control at 130 days and Heartworm positive. He was at risk of euthansia so AASR pulled him out and is currently getting his medical needs started for treatment. Stitch is high energy and really wants to be with people. He struggles with some crate anxiety but he tries to be a REALLY good boy. To meet him is to instantly love him. We know Stitch's person is out there for him! Are you them? 

Stitch is dog selective, but that may also be because of his energy levels of being in the shelter. We hope to be able support him with some training work as well.

All Animals Sanctuary & Rescue (AASR) provides all dogs with sterilization, and the following vaccines: Lepto, Bordetella, Rabies, & DHPP. All dogs are 4DX tested, which includes heartworm testing. If any parasites are found, they are treated, including heartworms. We are transparent about any chronic health conditions that are not treatable with actute rescue care.
