Meet Wayne! Wayne is a gentle, handsome boy with a heart full of love to give. He was found with another dog and brought to the shelter back in June 2022. After spending three long years in a kennel, he’s more than ready for a fresh start. Despite his time in the shelter, Wayne has remained incredibly sweet, affectionate, and eager to bond with people. He lights up when he’s around others and quietly soaks up all the love and attention he can get.Wayne is very smart and catches on quickly to new things. He walks fairly well on a leash, though he can become scared by loud noises or unfamiliar situations and may freeze or try to hide. He absolutely loves other dogs and enjoys playing with them. Wayne has been good around children of all ages, but due to his occasionally skittish nature, older or more gentle kids would be the best fit for him.He’s still unsure about being crated, which isn’t surprising given his long stay in a kennel, but he’s making progress. Wayne is a sweet and happy boy who is just waiting for the chance to experience life in a loving home.
