I arrive in Canada May 10.Hello everyone. My name is WYNN (Blue) and here is sone ingo about me:Breed: Terrier mixAge: 2 yearsGender: MaleWeight: 18 kgHeight: 38 cmCountry of origin: TurkeyHighlights: energetic, playful, gentle, social, charming, affectionateLooking for your daily dose of joy. You've found it.Found abandoned in a remote countryside, I was left to fend for myself near a forest. My rescuers discovered me during one of their regular feeding rounds for strays. Hidden beneath a tree, I was visibly terrified—shaking, scared, and alone. It was clear I wouldn’t survive on my own much longer. When they gently approached me and showed a leash, something remarkable happened—I stood up immediately, as if I knew what it meant. In that moment they knew I must have once had a home—if you could call it that. Sadly, like many animals in Turkey, I had most likely been discarded when no longer wanted. I was take to the vet for a full check-up, and thankfully, was in stable condition. After that, I was placed in a loving foster home, where I currently live peacefully with both cats and dogs. Given I show no signs of aggression or fear towards my new companions, brings the belief I once had feline and canine friends of my own. Now, I'm ready for the next chapter of my life—a forever home where I will be truly loved and never abandoned again. I am a gentle boy, eager to bond. All I need now is a family who will never let me go.Ready to add endless love, laughter, and energy to your life? My charming and playful personality will draw you into love with me. I'm spoiled in the sweetest way – I know I am loved and am not afraid to show off my silly, affectionate side. I'll fill your home with goofy moments, tender cuddles, and the kind of happiness that only a dog like me can bring.I live for long walks and playtime. I even know how to walk with a leash, no pulling. Whether it’s chasing a toy, exploring the outdoors, or rolling over for a belly rub (my favorite trick), I’ll keep your days full of sheer happiness.Believe it or not, I spend most of my time cuddling and grooming my cat friends, like I am their proud mom. I truly gets along with everyone — cats, dogs, and humans alike. I haven’t seen a soul I didn’t greet with love (and probably a belly show)! My love is huge, genuine, and constant — if you open your heart to me, I’ll give you the world in return. I will be one of the best decisions you ever make.Energy Level: HighI get along with:Dogs: yesCats: yesKids: unknown, no video proof, but likelyFears: None observed. This includes my transportation to Canada, if I am able to be accompanied by a flight volunteer directly to Vancouver.Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue. Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems.Basic training should be taken seriously, but should not begin until your dog is well settled in - at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home, check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you.Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if a dog has been determined to be good with children we will approve applicants with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website. The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs.Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live. While most dogs find escorting passengers flying directly to Vancouver, some will find flights through Toronto or Montreal. In that case, additional fees will apply to fly your dog to Vancouver by cargo. Unaccompanied cargo costs within Canada range from $350 - $550 depending on the size of the dog. LALDR will be as transparent as possible with you regarding these costs. You will NOT be asked to pay a passenger fee on top of the cargo fee.[MID-EAST] *Vaccinations: Dogs from the Middle East are vaccinated for rabies, parvo, distemper, leptospirosis, adenovirus type 1 and para-influenza. Bordetella is not given, as that has not been a problem in the Middle East.[TURKEY] Dogs from Turkey receive a 4D SNAP test to include Heartworm, Ehrlichiosis, Leishmania and Anaplasmosis.
