~~Although we do our very best to make sure your new pup is in tiptop health before adoption,
things could drastically change a month later. Since we don’t have a long health history of your
adopted dog, we can only treat the pet for whatever symptoms present during the initial exam
and follow up exams.~
Health: ***** No obvious health issues found during vet exam *****
Temperament: Meet Yuri, a gentle and loving Schipperke who is ready to find his forever home! At approximately 12 to 13 years old and weighing around 23 pounds, this sweet boy has experienced a significant upheaval in his life, as he is mourning the loss of the only owner he’s ever known.
Yuri is well-versed in leash training and kennel training, making him an easy companion for daily walks and quiet downtime. He’s currently adapting to his new surroundings and is learning to coexist with other dogs—doing remarkably well in the process!
While he may be a bigger boy who prefers not to be picked up, Yuri absolutely adores getting pets and head scratches. His affectionate nature shines through during cuddle time, and he’s sure to bring warmth and joy to any household.
If you think you could provide the love and stability that Yuri needs during this time of transition, we invite you to apply today to welcome this sweet boy into your family. Let’s help Yuri turn the page to a new, happy chapter in his life! --
Where did he come from: Yuri was surrendered to our rescue because his owner health was declining and he went into hospice.
